REMOTE DESTINATION TRAIL/BACKCOUNTRY RIDING/SINGLETRACK:
The big little brother of Salsa`s 29er Horsethief, Pony Rustler features the same any singletrack trail in the world-capability, but takes a more aggressive approach with the ground clawing, inspirational stability of 27.5 x 3.0 tires. Mix this footprint with 148 x 12mm axle spacing, short and agile chainstays, and Boost crankset specification, and you`re dressed to impress while you bust new moves on the high mountain dance floor.
Other updates to the ECR include and are limited to: Gnot-Boost rear spacing with Surlys updated Troll dropout and a killer new beige paint job. It retains the abundant accessory mounts that we all know and love like Surly Trip Guide for brakes and derailleurs, fender, rack, and Bill/Ted eyelets, and a Rohloff torque arm slot. The 27.5 plussizes also feature two sets of Three-Pack bosses while the 29plus sizes have two water bottle mounts and one set of Three-Pack bosses. You?ve got a lot of options to bring all your ?necessities? with you and still have room for excess baggage if you`ve got it. And sweet ground scores when you find them.
If variety is the spice of life, then the Moloko bar oozes umami at every bend. It offers a multitude of hand positions to keep you comfortable and in control over the course of a long day riding over varied terrain.
It also has plenty of spots to mount your various accessories. Dangle a handlebar bag from it, strap some lights to it, throw a GPS on it (if that?s your thing), and ride all day. It comes in a standard width of 735mm but if 685mm is more your style, don?t you worry. We added cut marks so you can easily make it so.
